Seo Architect is an architecture, interior design, and planning firm that began in Brooklyn in 2014. Founded by Kyuongmin Seo. The firm has gained national and international recognition for its work.

Seo Architect has won numerous Design Awards and is regularly featured in architectural journals and design publications. The firm’s clients range from private developers to publicly funded organizations to institutional and not-for-profit groups.

PEOPLE

Kyuongmin Seo, AIA is the Founding Principal of Seo Architect. Mr. Seo leads the firm’s direction by placing an emphasis on enriching the urban environment. He has been Partner-in-Charge for numerous projects throughout North America, Asia, and Latin America. He is a leader in the field of sustainable design, and continues to emphasize sustainability in all new work. Mr. Seo’s work has appeared in numerous publications.

Prior to Seo Architect, Mr. Seo worked with the world renowned architect, Santiago Calatrava in the New York office of his practice. As a key member of his design team, his efforts were mainly focused on of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in New York City, which was an initiative attained via winning an invite‐only competition. He was also responsible for the design of the Sharq Crossing Mosque in Doha, Qatar. For the seven years prior to Mr. Calatrava’s practice, Mr. Seo was at Studios Architecture and also at Handel Architects ‐ both New York City offices of international practices. Among his many high profile projects in New York City are residential buildings such as Warren Lofts, The Corner, The View and The Caledonia.

Mr. Seo is licensed and registered in the states of New York, New Jersey and Florida as a professional architect. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds other professional certifications including National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

Mr. Seo received his Master of Architecture Degree from Pratt Institute in New York and Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Degree from Kyung-Hee University in South Korea.
